A Vehicle Technology Cluster for Europe

Strategically located Technology Park with immediate availability and Build to Suit opportunities

Welcome to Millbrook Technology Park, a growing vehicle technology cluster

At Millbrook, we are fortunate to work with some great facilities in a wonderful setting.

We place customer service at the top of our agenda and are proud to do business with many world-class vehicle technology companies. We provide them with engineering, test and vehicle conversions services. Some have a permanent presence on our extensive campus and benefit from our location midway between London and Birmingham and great transport links to markets in the rest of Europe.

Our business is an integral part of the vibrant UK automotive industry and we are able to call on excellent support from national and local Government. We can recruit skilled, English-speaking staff to live in this attractive part of the UK and all of this makes Millbrook a great location for any vehicle technology business.

I am delighted that we are now able to offer space in an expanding Millbrook Technology Park to other companies and look forward to growing our automotive community.

Working to reduce the environmental impact of vehicles

Millbrook Technology Park is a cluster of businesses working to reduce the environmental impact of vehicles – and the impact of the development itself.

The new Technology Park units will be built to achieve BREEAM ’Excellent' rating as a minimum. This will be achieved by considering sustainable materials (locally sourced where possible), green roof applications, rain-water harvesting and solar energy installations. Millbrook construction team will work with tenants to design and build the units to meet tenants’ own sustainability needs.

The transport of people and goods results in significant emissions of greenhouse gases and other pollutants. Along with the rest of the transport industry, Millbrook is committed to reducing these emissions by developing vehicles with a lower environmental impact. It will continue to invest and make available the people and test facilities that assist tenants with the engineering and testing of more efficient internal combustion engines, fuels and alternative propulsion systems. It will also work with Government and industry bodies to define incentives and regulations to assist this development.

An outstanding place to invest, work and live

Millbrook Technology Park offers an outstanding working environment set within an exceptional location. This helps tenants to attract and retain talented employees.

Bedfordshire is located at the heart of the UK and is the centre point between London, Birmingham, Oxford and Cambridge. It is one of the UK's most desirable places to live, combining the very best of town and country with vast open spaces, woodlands, quiet lanes, peaceful rivers and canals offering an excellent quality of life; yet within an hour of the UK's two principal cities.

Nearby market towns such as Ampthill, Flitwick and Bedford have excellent schools plus a wide range of independent shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs. Milton Keynes is an exciting, fast growing city just 20 minutes away, offering a regional shopping destination and significant sport and leisure facilities together with extensive business and recruitment options.

House prices are around the UK average. Two Bedfordshire villages have been named in Sunday Times 'Best Places to Live 2014’, a comprehensive guide that takes into account a wide range of elements including transport links, quality of schools, natural beauty, low crime rate, property prices, cultural life and unemployment figures.

Bedfordshire road and rail connections make it the focal point of one of the most dynamic regions in Europe. Three mainline railways pass through the county, bringing London as close as 50 minutes away. Millbrook is served by five international airports: London Heathrow, London Stansted, Birmingham and East Midlands can be reached within 90 minutes and London Luton is just a 30 minute drive.

This extraordinary connectivity makes it easy to do business across the UK and beyond. With the first class local road network, 18 million people are within a one hour drive.

Millbrook is at the centre of the South East Midlands Local Enterprise Partnership (SEMLEP), a national growth area recognised by the UK Government. Working with local authority and private sector partners, SEMLEP is primed to deliver the strategic infrastructure and skills projects that are essential for economic growth, new jobs and new homes in the area.

Within 30 minutes of Millbrook, Bedford, Northampton and Luton are all possible locations for volume manufacturing plants. Each location has an automotive history and supportive local Government.
